Founded by my parents in October 1962, Walkin’s Gift Shop – the business behind this website - is a second-generation family owned and run retail home and giftware business based in Ballinrobe, Co. Mayo.
And before 1962, my mother’s family ran businesses from our current location for at least 3 generations. So, in one guise or another, my family has been in business on Ballinrobe’s Main Street, since the middle of the 19th century, when the street was known as Market Street.
As a small-town business, we place enormous value on our relationship with customers, and at the core of that relationship is a simple promise - we offer quality products, at competitive prices, along with small town personal service. Simple as that!
Our goal for Walkins.ie is to deliver on this promise to our on-line gift shop customers.
Although we may not be able to welcome you as you step through our door or bid you farewell as you leave, have a chat or even help carry your packages/bags to the car; we will do our absolute best to ensure that doing business with us on-line is as easy and enjoyable as if you were here in our shop.
